Weather too poor to fly today?  No problem!  We now have a Redbird TD2 training device with all the bells and whistles.  It emulates a Cessna 172 or 182(RG) with steam gauges with an autopilot, Garmin 530 (clone), VOR, DME, and ADF (for us older folks).  Good for learning the basics of slow flight, spins, emergency procedures, as well as instrument procedures.  Log up to 10 hours toward your Instrument Rating and even a few hours toward your Private Pilot certificate.  The trainer also has a Bad Elf GPS emulator, so you can see your flight on your tablet PC (Ipad with Garmin Pilot or Foreflight).  This is a great addition to our training program.  Cost is a reasonable $50/hour (plus instructor time).
